The Secret History of Twin Peaks
by Mark Frost
I had difficulty getting through this when reading the print version, as it reads like a history book packed full of first person accounts. So I tried it on audio and was sucked in.
I enjoyed reading about the historical connection between Twin Peaks and famous figures such as Lewis & Clark and Chief Joseph. I appreciated the detailed backstory of some of the characters as well including Josie Packard, Dr. Jacoby, the Log Lady, Norma Jennings, Big Ed, Hank Jennings, Major Garland Briggs, and more.
I did find the extensive backstory on Douglas (Dougie) Milford interesting, but it was packed full of so many conspiracy theories that I was a bit turned off. Also, I refused to read Nixon as a sympathetic character....
