From Blood & Ash was one of my favorite reads of 2020. After finishing it, I was left with a major book hangover & a tinge of sadness. I didn’t want the story to end & could have easily gone on reading for another several hundred pages.
What makes this book so good? It’s a combination of things: a captivating story, well-crafted characters, a slow-burn romance, an otherworldly setting, ideal pacing, & just enough twists & turns to leave you wondering what will happen next. It’s so engrossing that you’ll end up breezing through the book’s 600 pages (trust me, I ended up binge reading it over the course of 2 days
