An easy read. Was a bit comical at times. Definitely YA but I don't want to penalize it just because I'm not the intended audience. What I am penalizing it for is that the protagonist was not likable at all, which is maybe the point? I don't know, I feel like even though she doesn't really have empathy for people she's not related to, a skilled author should be able to make you feel empathy for her. Main character (17) crushes on and at one point kisses a 25 year old, and this in no way affects the plot. The age difference is never addressed.
