Highest Bidder by Sara Cate

5.0

What an absolutely guntrenchingly beautiful story — Highest bidder is book 5 in the salacious players club series by Sara cate and follows Daisy and our favourite mysterious billionaire Ronan Kade — there’s quite a large age gap here, Ronan is a 56 year old pleasure dom and unbeknownst to him Daisy is the 22 year old daughter of his dead ex lover — when Daisy’s mum left Ronan after a whirlwind summer romance, Ronan left her a million dollars to hold in trust for her daughter so that she would be financially cared for — upon her mother’s death Daisy finds out the name of the man who left her such a large sum of money and goes on a mission to find out who he is and why he would do such a thing — not gonna lie, she stalks the ever living shit out of him which leads her to taking a job at the salacious players club as a drink server so she can study the mysterious man in the hopes of discovering the link he has to her mother — Ronan is a widowed billionaire given up on love and resigned to a life of loneliness and loss — everything changes one fateful night when Daisy loses a bet and ends up on the auction block during one of salacious’s events — our obscenely rich daddy wins of course but doesn’t collect his win just yet — but when he does it’s almost impossible for both of them to deny their growing attraction to one another — what started as innocent help and guidance soon flourished into something far more — they’re both falling hard but will Daisy’s secret tear them apart? — this book is so well written and so beautiful — the relationship between Ronan and Daisy is so heartbreakingly pure in its love and connection and also so so sinfully delicious — this book repeatedly broke my heart and put me back together again and I’m not ashamed to say I ugly cried quite a few times —
