Ghost Girl by Torey Hayden
4.0
I don't know if I could have finished this book if not for 2 factors: a desire to complete Stina's challenge and the fact that I am starting a master's program in psychology next month. This examination of one teacher's relationship with a troubled young girl and the horrific secrets she shares is not cheerful reading, but it is compelling. The most significant aspect of the book for me is the uncertainty of the author as to whether this child is the victim of horrible ritual abuse or of somd form of psychosis or both. Disturbing and unsettling but with a hopeful if murky ending.
