Overall, this book was okay. I liked how Callie had to help Des solve a mystery in his Fae kingdom. I liked the twist in the bargains between Callie and Des. My favorite character was Des. He felt more complex, probably because Callie experienced so many sides of him. I felt Callie was immature, but I also think that's related to the author's writing style. There were lines I rolled my eyes at because they sounded dated or immature. I also found myself yelling at the Fauna king because he kept referring to Callie as a human...but she's a siren, so she isn't 100% human. Will I keep reading this series? Probably. Will I be rushing to the second one? Probably not.
