What’s a story you know? Something that upsets you, disturbs you. Something that hasn’t been written down. Something that you heard—that merely exists in the minds of those who have heard it.

Martyr Black and Ambrose Thorne are partners in crime, two murderous lovers killing young men, in search of purpose.
LaRocca's most recent novel, following the Tiktok fame of Things Have Gotten Worse Since We Last Spoke is rather dull. It failed to shock or entice me with anything new, though the strongest part was probably the audio transcripts of the conversations between the two partners. The poems and the novella strewn throughout this work distracted more than added anything to the bigger picture. I would be lying if I didn't say I skimmed large swaths of this.
Oh well, not everything can be a hit.
