Mortal Danger
by Eileen Wilks
Quick rundown:
Although Lily Yu & the werewolves defeated the villain in [b:Tempting Danger|36300868|Tempting Danger|Katie Reus|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1506331275s/36300868.jpg|57969252], her second in command disappeared with her magic staff. It has required him to kill girls to feed their energy to it, and he has started taunting Lily after the murders. When Cullen tries to destroy the staff, the explosion catches Lily, splitting her soul in two and throwing one half of it and Rule into hell. There, they must team up with the demon that has been trying to possess her in order to evade the local Prince, who would happily kill them all.
A much better adventures:romance ratio than the last book. There's a bit of soppy romantic writing, especially in the beginning as Wilks is (re)introducing you to the characters, but it's not as bad as the last one.

Spoiler
While in hell, they find dragons who are willing to help them open a gate back to Earth, as long as they are allowed to come, too. The Lily who went to hell must sacrifice herself in order to use the gate, and that half of her soul rejoins the other.A much better adventures:romance ratio than the last book.
