I've seen this book on many TBR lists, so I was excited to listen to it, but I was a little underwhelmed by it. This was my first book by Emily Stone and I was expecting a lighter book than it was, so maybe my expectations weren't correct.
The estranged relationship of the FMC and her recently deceased father was a main focal point of the book and I wasn't prepared for all the emotional work she would be doing throughout the book. I thought this was billed as a romance, but the relationship between the MCs wasn't as much of a focus as I was expecting until later in the book. I didn't find the main characters particularly loveable, but at least their chemistry was real.
Overall the book was kind of meh, but I didn't hate it and there were some parts that I really enjoyed!
