Can’t decide on rating but it’s somewhere between 3 or 4 stars. This book delivers the cozy fantasy it promises. I have a beautiful copy with stenciled/painted edges and little illustrations above the beginning of each chapter that also ups the cozy experience. I also enjoyed the snippets of the books the main character read in-universe.
The middle was very very slow for me, but could be I wasn’t in the right mood for this book. Not much happens plot-wise but that could be a feature instead of a drawback. The vibes at the beginning and end worked for me. Just think the book’s length might have overstayed its welcome.
