What a delightful way to spend your time! Sherry Thomas' gift of character that she perfected in the romance genre shines through as she writes mystery. Her details (Charlotte's appetite, for example) revealed as much about the characters as their dialogue, and it's nice to see neurodiversity portrayed in such an authentic and charming way. Very clever handling of the twist on Sherlock Holmes too. And since I like romance, I do appreciate that the hint of it was there, hovering on the back burner but still simmering.
