If there’s one thing I’ll never get enough of, it’s a beautifully devastating story—and City of Souls and Sinners delivers that in spades.
The love between Loren and Darien is achingly complex and so vividly written it practically crackles off the page. Their connection feels raw, real, and impossible to look away from. I felt every glance, every unspoken word, every heartbreak.
The plot had me hooked from beginning to end—I was so immersed in the twists and emotional depth that I didn’t even realize I’d just devoured nearly 900 pages. And that ending? My jaw was on the floor. I just sat there, stunned, blinking at the wall like it might offer answers.
Thankfully, I have the next book ready to go because there’s no way I’m walking away from this story now.
This series has everything I crave in fantasy: a gripping slow burn, layered mystery, found family that makes your heart ache, a unique magic system, laugh-out-loud moments, and yes… spice levels that absolutely deliver.
