This had a lot of potential from the start, but it just didn’t deliver for me.
The book took place over the span of maybe a month and the relationship was too insta-lovey and just too based on physical attraction.
That took away all the tension and I just wasn’t invested in their relationship and was a bit bored.
A big goal of the heroine was to find her bffs, but she didn’t really do anything to achieve that, and then all of a sudden they were on her doorstep. I really didn’t like how that was hardly explained, but turns out that’s in another book…
It felt like a lot happened off page, like the bffs but also the hero plotting in the background.
Liked the kid though, but overall this wasn’t really for me and I don’t know if I’ll continue the series.
