hunt me darling

TLDR; if you want a quick, easy to read, and very spicy twisted take on criminal minds, this book is for you.
Pretty good. Very strong but twisted criminal minds vibes. I really wish the plot was better spread throughout the book. The chapters until we get to like the 90 percent mark are very repetitive in their structure. She grabs her coffee and bagels, goes to work, works for hours to no new revelations, Derek tells her she needs to get some sleep and they will start fresh the next day, she goes home. Sometimes she works on the case from home and other times she just fucks. Somtimes both in one night. Then get up the next day to do the same thing. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the spice. However, I wish it was worked into a more compelling day to day plot.
Also, why does this book not pass the Bechdel test. The FMC is nearly the only woman in the book and when she does talk to the other woman, they only talk about men. It just annoys me a little that the entire book is really only full of men.
Go in fully expecting to have a good, extra spicy time with sections that you can likely skip through and still enjoy the book at a faster pace. If you do skip through sections, I would recommend not skipping anything in the last like 20% because that's when the plot actually starts to get going on page.
