This book's biggest failing is that it continues building several plots until the last chapter or two and then ends very abruptly. I understand this is a trilogy, but I would have appreciated it if really any aspect of this story had reached any kind of conclusion. I can't imagine reading this book and having to wait two years to pick up the next.
