From Here to the Great Unknown
by Lisa Marie Presley
challenging
dark
emotional
fast-paced
“Learning to hold joy and suffering and indifference and hope simultaneously...” 🖤
For me, this memoir felt both incredibly intimate yet oddly detached at the same time. It sifted through the painful and outrageous chapters of Lisa Marie’s life while also showing glimpses of everyday moments with her children. The dual narration of Riley and her mother gave a more rounded view of Lisa Marie’s story, and the book is no doubt the better for it.
