Did not finish book. Stopped at 14%.

I did not finish this book. It is so slow paced to the point of putting you in a coma. I also did not really like the writing, it did not compel me to want to continue reading, which is unfortunate because I was genuinely interested by the premise of the story. So if you are looking for a text with a similar plot, I would recommend Annihilation by Jeff VanderMeer.
