Don't Make a Sound by David Jackson

4.0

What a ride!
Don't make a sound is the story of Malcolm and Harriet, a seemingly ordinary couple who abducts a young girl in a desperate effort to create a family of their own.
Their 'daughter' Daisy has been living locked in a room for 3 years, when Malcom decides it's time to bring a new member to the family.

The story is so dark and gripping, I know it's been said plenty of times, but it was almost impossible to put down.

I got the audio version, and the narration by Jonathan Keeble is just exceptional, brought the characters to life and really made my skin crawl.
I didn't know this book was part of a series, as it works fine as a standalone, but after this one I'm definitely checking out the other books in the series.
