Berserk, Vol. 2 by Kentaro Miura

5.0

This was just another great read from start to finish. Little by little, we get more info regarding the type of warrior Guts is, as well as more knowledge about the world of Berserk. The main premise of this volume is basically Guts infiltrating the Count's castle to kill him. I am a bit confused on the motives and the ultimate goal Guts has in mind, but I'm sure it'll explain it in later volumes. We get introduced to the Count's daughter, as well as a small sprinkle of lore when her and Puck are together. We get to see a little more of Guts character, both more of his malevolence, hatred, and just the smallest bit of humanity.
The world building is fantastic, and the artwork is really good; though there are sometimes where I struggle to interpret what exactly is happening in some panels. But the artwork in regard to the action is great, and the demons are absolutely horrifying.
Overall, I'm really enjoying this series so far, and I can't wait to start on volume three since this ended on a cliffhanger.
