Irresistible by Melanie Harlow

3.0

This was my first Melanie Harlowe book (as far as I can remember) and I had great time reading it!

The opening for this book was GOLD! I knew I’d like the story just because of that first chapter of how Mack talked about his single-dad life. It was funny and light, and just all in all an enjoyable time.

I loved Frannie’s sisters and the kids — I think their characters really kept my interest in this book.

The pacing was okay, I didn’t mind the insta-love that much. In my book it qualifies as insta-love even if the characters have been secretly interested with each other for some time before they even got together.

Frannie is too good to be true, she was loving and very understanding; I wish she had “negative” (don’t really know what to call it) emotions too especially during the upsetting scenes (apart from just crying, that is). I think that would’ve made me connect to her more, make her more human rather than just a character in a book.

Anyway, I’ve never been the best at reviews but I try. I recommend this book, it’s quick and entertaining.
