why did we get a random murder in the first quarter and people are just okay with it and move on, hanging out with the group KNOWING a murderer is walking among them..HUHH??? also, is this pro-colonization???? also-also, you want me to see the only person who has the best take on what's happening politically as the villain?? i don't think so. lastly, the writing was not for me. i was extremely bored throughout and really didn't like that sylvia was giving "manic pixie dream girl" to lorelai's wet blanket "personality" (and i use that term loosely). and this is totally me, but an important character has an ex's name 🤢 so that didn't help. the only thing this book has going for it is the cover.

del rey is speedrunning to be the worst.
