I didn't quite enjoy this one as much as Dani's book, but I still can't give it any less than 5 stars. Hibbert is absolutely an auto-buy (which is why I picked up Highly Suspicious in Waterstones today (a week early!!)).
Moderate: Abandonment
Minor: Ableism, Car accident, and Toxic friendship
There's a minor car accident at the outset of the book where the female LI accidentally hits the male LI, breaking his wrist and giving him a mild concussion. References ribbing the female LI for her terrible driving are then made occasionally throughout the rest of the book.
The male LI was abandoned by his parents and raised by his aunt from 10 yrs old onwards. Also has always been dumped by significant others due to behaviour related to autism.
The female LI has an inner monologue two or three times throughout the book where she thinks on the way she has to suppress her personality or put on a facade for almost every friendship she has, where she feels she has to play a character/role for her more demanding friends.
