The New Avengers, Volume 3: Secrets and Lies by Brian Michael Bendis

Collects issues 11-15. Bendis delivers an interesting story of intrigue involving SHIELD, Hydra, the Hand, and Spider-Woman's role at the intersection of these factions. The art is strong throughout, with Frank Cho, handling the pencils in issues 14 and 15, mostly reining in his cheesecake impulses--he is, like the other artists, David Finch and Rick Mays, hamstrung by the impediment of Ms. Marvel's egregious costume from 1978--though he does succumb in a couple of places, such as a gratuitous rear perspective of Ms. Marvel and one of Spider-Woman--who frequently seems to get the sexist/mysogynist treatment (looking at you Milo Manara) from artists--in a two-page spread near the end.
