Pleasantly surprised by this one. Very thankful for the lack of romanticization of toxic behaviour and a low amount of unnecessary drama.
I liked how the author focused on the pain and illness, it felt quite tangible. It was a little repetitive here and there with backstories and such, but it wasn't too bad. The one thing I felt could have been done better is the villain and her motivations. They felt a bit too surface-level for me to feel it was "real".
The writing itself was done well. I didn't react to any word repetitions or awkward sentences, so it's been edited properly.
