Quasim III: King Inferno by Jahquel J.
3.25
medium-paced

I liked this book but I feel like Quasim was barely in it and Blair was ok. You could have kept the third act break up, it was unnecessary because we went through this in the first book. Sometimes Capri felt like the main character of this book and it was annoying. We get it, she is "Big Pri" or whatever the author wants us to believe. I always thought it was weird how the author does the "opps" POV and more than half of it is just them praising the main characters. I think it is so lame and just another way for the author to drill in our head that her main characters are them niggas but in my opinion what's understood does not have to be repeated in every chapter which she does often, especially in an "opps" chapter. Let them be a real enemy, she be writing them as lame fans if anything and I think that's why I never took the "beef" seriously and never felt anything when they were in a shot out because I knew the outcome would be the same. One thing I eel this author does well is the family aspect of her books but I do feel she over does it with the characters, sometimes I can't keep up. Also the content drilling in our head how "independent" the girls are is a little annoying. Like I said before you don't have to constantly repeat something chapter after chapter it's simply gets annoying and at that point I'm like well who are you trying to convince? That's one of the reasons why I didn't care for Capri because she did this with her character the most.
