To be honest, this book felt like it was at least 40% infodumping lore from previous books. Given the plot and how far into the series we are, it was understandable but still got old quick.

The book was genuinely discomfiting in parts and the true cruelty of the antagonist is on full show.

Titania's faerie is horrifying and the way she twisted Toby and her allies was uncomfortable to read at times.

However, the ending felt like it wrapped up too fast and like the book should have been longer. I still love the series and characters but I guess this book just didn't fully meet my expectations. My next read will be the companion book so we'll see if that's a different experience.
