I’m sure there are people that would absolutely love this book. I’m just not particularly fond of stories set in industrial revolution time periods, and I really don’t enjoy books where the protagonist is a cop. TRIGGER WARNING: while not depicted, the main motivation for Wax to save the women that have been abducted is that he finds out they are likely being sex trafficked. He does not find them in this book and it is implied they will be forcibly bred to produce Allomancers.
Moderate: Death, Gore, Murder, Classism, Grief, Gun violence, Injury/Injury detail, Body horror, and Blood
Minor: Sexual assault, Trafficking, Body horror, Grief, Death, Gore, Gun violence, Injury/Injury detail, Murder, Blood, Kidnapping, Rape, Classism, and Infidelity
