Th1rteen R3asons Why by Jay Asher

5.0

I am a fan of the way that Jay Asher tells this story through the recordings. It gives everyone a chance to see behind the facade that Hannah put up on a daily bases just to survive her daily encounters.

More importantly it gives a chance to see what life as a teenager is like in this day and age. I feel that as we all age and some of us become parents we forget what it was like to be a teenager and how difficult it can be.

Even though we know from the start that the story doesn't have a happy ending it still entices the reader to continue. I feel that this says something about the way modern society is wired. It seems all to often people like to see and read about other peoples misery just to feel better about them self's.
