Here is my specific thoughts as I was reading the book. Enjoy my descent into madness.

-Loving the college aspect
-Quick read
-Really enjoying the characters
-Why is there sexual tension between 13 year old sydney and like 32 year old Victor??????
-Young victor is kind of rude to his so called best friend
-But I also kind of like him
-Though the jealousy is honestly kind of annoying
-I'm so frustrated with eli
-Why are these guys so intense?!?!? Victor's like WE HAVE TO DO IT NOW like chill dog
-Yikes Angie dying?!?!?!?!
-Really good ending the chapter with Angie dying and then picking up in the other chapter with Sydney screaming but he thinks its angie. Brilliant.
-He didnt try to revive her!?!??!?!?!? How rude
-Oh NOW you call Eli?!?!?
-Wow their relationship took a nose dive real fast
-Sydney is reeeeally trusting of two 30 year old men she randomly met on the side of the road
-This book definitely leaves you guessing
-As soon as you get an answer for one question, another question comes up
-Serena is a terrible sister
-I'm so impatient to find out what's going on!!
-Eli's all like "your power is unnatural" to Sydney BUT BITCH YOUR POWER IS UNNATURAL TOO. ALL EOS POWERS ARE UNNATURAL
-Okay kind of loving the older brother vibe victor and Sydney have
-Love Mitch ahha
-Victor's hobby is just black out poetry (erasure) and I love that
-Trigger warning for animal abuse and attempted suicide, and death
-So they bring Barry lynch the bank robber back, but I think it would have been cooler if they brought Angie back
-But that begs the question, how long after death can Sydney bring people back?
-Eli is kinda smart tho for planning out the rescue/murder of Barry that way
-Kinda gives me Ninth House dark academia vibes
-Bro he straight up killed that professor!!!!!!!!!!!
-Eli's faith--or what he thinks is faith--is really interesting. It makes himself feel self righteous enough to kill others without feeling that he himself is unnatural
-Can eli even die? How is victor gonna kill him?
-I like the correlation that Eli has with Serena and water, given that she died from water
-I think this book does a good job of showing how blurry the line between good and evil can be
-Usually I dont like having multiple narrators, but it really works for this book
-For. Ever. For Eli Ever!??!?!?
-ELI DID NOT JUST KILL FUCKING MITCH IM GOING TO FUCKING DIE AHHHHHHHHHHHH
-But I think that his death could have been written better because it was kind of anticlimactic
-Dominic's power is pretty lit
-Oh thank everything that is good and holy that Mitch is ALIVE
-Okay but it would've been a really cool surprise if Mitch was an EO. Like maybe Victor made him one in the time they spent together after getting out of jail
-I just keep thinking that if I had Dominic's power, i would just use it to slow down time and give myself more time to read haha
-Okay you got to be FUCKING KIDDING ME SERENA JUST KILLED MITCH!???!?!?!?!?!? That is UNACCEPTABLE! I do not like this "let's play with the reader's feelings" game
-Cant we just let Mitch be happy?!?!??!?!?
-Not SYDNEY TOOOOOOOOOO
-THIS ENDING IS LITERALLY KILLING ME
-Oh my gosh Mitch and Sydney are alive. My heart cant take anymore fake deaths!
-Okay this is written intentionally to trick me
-The poor dog!
-Come on just let the dog come back. That's all I neeeeeeed
-No! Victor is dead!?!??!
-But honestly, what was his plan? How can you kill someone who will just heal themselves?
-AHHHHHHH SUCH A GOOD ENDING!
-AMAZING! I freaking LOVED this book!

Thank you.
