Somebody's Daughter by Ashley C. Ford

emotional hopeful inspiring reflective sad medium-paced

4.0

this was really good. some of the ways she wrote about things felt so relatable. she experienced some similar things to me and hearing her share about it was affirming. she felt like a friend.
the way that she forgave and maintained relationship with her mother made me feel somewhat ashamed.
it was slow at parts and there were a couple of chapters that felt inconsequential although i’m sure they were important to the author. i’m very curious how memoirists remember so many minute details about their lives, not only how they felt but dialogue and how things took place.
