The Gardener's Year by Karel Čapek

4.0

This is a delightful, quick read from a witty author who writes about his gardening obsession. It struck me how contemporary it seemed because it was written in Czech in 1929. The only thing that clued me in to the fact that it’s a 90-year-old book is that the author speaks of lawn mowers as quite fancy contraptions.
