A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas

5.0

so i’m barely writing a review because i wanted a second read after finishing the entirety of the series (as of now) [also i wasn’t writing reviews the first time i read it but that’s besides the point]
the first read through i felt like Feyre was very pick me and that the ending was Convenient. I still feel as through the transformation at the end (trying to be spoiler free here) is mildly convenient but i mean.. for the rest of the series it is very important and i understand and admire that now. I definitely read Feyre wrong the first time around and i can now say that i love her character and her story. there is nothing wrong with being an flimsy, illiterate human. if anything- starting from being pathetic allows for more growth right? right?
Maas did a wonderful job with writing Feyre and Tamlin’s romance. I definitely rooted for them in the first read and even this time around i still hoped for them (despite knowing what will happen in their future). such a beautiful thing Maas captured. Cant give her enough credit. excited for another run through of the series!
