Part One (5 stars) of Dark Horse is primarily focused on Dan, a man who is going through an extreme emotional period in his life. His story is emotional and heart-breaking (to the point of tears as it was so easy to feel his pain). During this time, a work related matter leads to Dan meeting Evan(a billionaire)and his lover Jeff.
Part Two is focused on Dan taking a chance and getting on with his life. He starts a new job, meets new people and gets to know Evan and Jeff as well as Evan's family.
Written in present tense (a bit strange at first but surprisingly easy to get used to), the M/M/M sexual component doesn't begin until the very end but this book is more about the relationship development, concerns and emotions. It will be interesting to see how the relationship develops in the sequel.
