3.5🌶️
This is only the second book I've picked up by Perry, the first being Shield of Sparrows, so this was quite a move from her newest fantasy, to the contemporary romance she's known for.
Perry immerses the reader into the story of Indya and West, a duo that couldn't be from more different backgrounds. Their story is told in both Indya and Wests point of view, with the occasional (unobtrusive) timeline throwback. What I enjoyed the most about this story is how invested I felt in the characters, and how I didn't want to put it down.
I found this story to be fast paced and easy to follow. I did struggle to picture the world and scene Perry was creating at times. There is smut, it's in your face and happens naturally during the story. The sexual tension between the two characters could be felt through the pages!
If rich city girl, meets country boy is your go to then absolutely give Crossroads a read!!!
