Death's Obsession
by Avina St. Graves
This book felt a lot like a fanfiction to me. The premise of the MMC being the grim reaper is cool but there is really nothing going on outside the stalker romance. To be fair, the book is pretty short as a result so it wasn’t hard to get through. The whole story was just the tension/romance but we didn’t get much build up since the MMC is the king of insta-love.
All that being said, it’s nice to occasionally have books that you don’t have to commit to mentally. I appreciate that St. Graves didn’t shoehorn in a plot. So, would I recommend this as a book? No. Would I recommend this to a dark romance reader who wants to read some red flags as a palette cleanser? Yes.
