Very different to what I usually read. But since Lovecraft is a classic I decided to read some Lovecraft inspired works first. This gave me an idea of what Lovecraft is all about with a more modern writing style, I've decided to slowly work up to it.
I thought the writing was thoroughly unsettling for a lot of the short stories, which is what it's all about I guess.
Some of the stories were really good and kept me hooked, some of them I wanted to be a bit longer, and none of them were bad, which meant overall it was a pretty good read.
