This is terrible for two main reasons.

1. “Wolves will be wolves” is used in place of “boys will be boys.” Brandi goes into heat and suddenly it’s ok to try and rape her because the young males are just young males and can’t control themselves. And the men leer and taunt and disrespect her boundaries and touch her without consent. It’s ridiculous.

2. When Brandi leaves her old life behind, she has to ditch her furniture because Jason hates it and Jason acts all butt hurt and unmanned by the fact that she makes more money and has nice things. Fuck. That. Noise. Now, the author makes Brandi explain that her things didn’t matter to her but her things are fucking antiques carefully chosen. Hard to believes she’s cool totally abandoning her own style to embrace Jason’s. Also she’s going to give away her hella expensive stuff? No one with sense would do that.

Insta love was fine. Spice was good. All else about this world was just annoying.
