Jack Reacher was never really going to be for me but I still thought I'd like this more than I did. I like thrillers. I like tough guys. But I wanted more action and less talking. I also wanted a plot that made more sense, unlike this stupid convoluted thing. Also I thought it was so stupid that

the brother slipped a condom into the parcel to indicate a Trojan horse. I guess it was something he had to hand? The closest he could get? But why not at least make some reference to a horse? I dunno. If he has the time and lack of supervision to put a condom in the box I don't see why he couldn't also slip in a lil picture of a horse, like a photo of him and a horse, or something.

Even typing this out it all sounds really stupid but the plot actually really is almost that stupid anyway and at least this way I could have believed it.

I found myself racing through much of this book by the end, not through enjoyment but through wanting it to be over.
