Woodworking by Emily St. James
4.25
emotional funny hopeful inspiring reflective medium-paced
Plot or Character Driven: A mix
Strong character development: Yes
Loveable characters: Yes
Diverse cast of characters: Yes
Flaws of characters a main focus: Complicated

i liked it, the characters were semi well-rounded and their dynamics were interesting. i couldn't really get over the student-teacher friendship though, it felt strange and pretty much every time they hung out one of them was saying they couldn't hang out anymore and it could get tiring. but i thought it was smart how
erica's POV went from third to first person as she started to feel more like herself in her body, i had been wondering why abigail's was in first person and ericas wasn't
. i will also say though that because of the way abigail's chapters were written and because of some tropes with characters this felt more like a YA novel than an adult one.
