Let the Record Show: A Political History of ACT UP New York, 1987-1993 by Sarah Schulman

4.5

Super interesting and informative but long... So much was included, and I think much of it needed to be included, but I wonder if some sections could have been pared down a bit. The jumping around from one perspective to another also led to some repetitiveness.

I also had some issues with the audiobook, primarily the edits, which were bounded by gaps and noticeably different in volume/sound quality. There were also a number of very oddly pronounced words, or compound words broken up, which were a bit of a jolt each time.

I think having a physical copy of the book would have made following the different chronologies easier.

Those issues aside, this was so educational and touching at the same time, very valuable for sure.
