General:
Characters are written well enough and I liked their progression. I loved how magic seeped into the nooks and crannies of the world. The warring gods, people trapped in-between unknown truths, and using myths to try a piece together the reason citizens are compelled to die for a cause unknown to them makes for a tense and mysterious read.
Spoilers:
Two rival columnists connected by their magic typewriters is a cute premise. The evolution to war torn lovers is emotionally impactful. There's always a part of me that can appr ciate a tragic ending. So while we didn't fully commit to character death I appreciated what we got and this could be a potentially darker twist than death.
