honestly, this was an excellent romantasy. I was a bit fearful that it would be too trope-y and cringe based on the stereotypical title, but was pleasantly surprised. I thought the mc had an excellent character arc, I thought the love interest had the same, and their relationship bloomed naturally and didn't feel forced. world building could have used a touch more work? but it was pretty good. plot twist at the end had me Gripping the book. will be reading the sequel.
