Let me start by saying I really do love Sawyer Bennett. She is a pretty versatile writer and some stuff she writes I adore, others are clearly not for me. That doesn't make it a bad book. But this book I really couldn't get behind the instalove. I feel like I would have liked the characters if I had more time to know them or they had more time to know each other. The other chAracters were cliche and added nothing. The plot was mostly unbelievable. I also can not and will not speak for someone who has been abused, but it didn't seem to have much of an impact even just in the immediate day or two following. In all, nothing worked for me. But I finished it
