Very interesting! Definitely pulled me along, I read this in just a few days, and certainly thought provoking. I quite liked both perspectives and hearing their internal thoughts, and especially with Alix there was a lot of conflicted cringing because like yeah, white people are like that. Thought a lot about my own biases and ideas and wokeness and performative activism and all that. The ending was okay, definitely some things didn’t quite make sense. While there were many moments when I thought “is this whole thing complete satire?” There was also a fair amount of relatable realistic thoughts from not knowing what you want to do with your life to race to obsession.
