Loved the characters, and I adored the little moments of self insertion from Louisa May Alcott throughout

At the end of act one, she gives you an opt out if the first act wasn’t interesting to you LOL. 

Two of my other favorites: 

“As young readers like to know how people look, we will take this moment to give them a description of the young women” 

“Jo must have fallen asleep, as I dare say my reader has during this little homily”
