Moby Dick by Herman Melville

Did not finish book. Stopped at 37%.

I don't understand what Melville was trying to accomplish with this book; the infodumps about whaling and the actual plot were interesting, but I was put off by the endless racism (esp. towards indigenous people), and Melville spends a lot of time just waxing poetic about his characters, which I don't get.
