An extremely important figure for anybody interested in anicent literature, and specifically Roman/Greek mythology. I am naturally biased, as I have a love of both ancient literature and mythos, but these stories are the kinds of stories I imagine being told around a campfire by a group of friends, or being read by a mother to their child, or being referenced when trying to prove a point. And I think that is not too far from the truth. With any old text such as this I always reflect on how humans have always had a knack for storytelling; we have always sought alternative ways of uncovering the truth or of embellishing the mundane. I would recommend this collection to anybody who feels the same way.
