What I liked:
The romance was super cute!! Kady and Ezra are adorable although the first page starts off with them breaking up it was a great lovers to enemies to lovers again story!
Kady is sarcastic, spunky and definitely goes to the beat of her own drum. Ezra is loyal and confident and never gives up on Kady which just made me melt through the entire book!
The setup of the pages is super cool there are some pages for example where the character is crawling on the outside of the ship trying to get to a door and the pages look like the side of a ship and the words move along the ship just like the character is doing. There were a bunch of other pages just like that one that were so enjoyable.
There is a countdown of when the "enemy warship" that is chasing after them will get there and it makes for a very edge of your seat reading experience!
The twist. . . . and the second twist ugh!!! Just rip my hear outJay and Amie!!! Thanks!
What I did not like:
The science and computer jargon the first 100 pages of the book I was utterly and completely confused and I almost put it down cause I just was not having it!!
At moments it felt like there were way too many things going on. My thoughts: Invasion OK. . . . enemy warship wanting to kill them . . . alright. . . . AND a plague. . . geez. . . AND the computer AI is nuts. . . great!!
I have a love hate relationship with the twist! it definitely got me more invested than I was but by the end I am just not sure that it makes sense realistically but please read it and let me know your thoughts!
Final Thoughts
Great story for Sci Fi readers who love a little romance! There are some definite flaws but the way the book is presented through e-mail, video logs and schematics really is amazing!
