The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins

5.0

2023 Review:
At this point I just read this book every year. The Hunger Games movies are having a little renaissance right now because I'm assuming they're releasing the trailer for the prequel soon. Anyway, I agree with everything I said last year. This is easily one of my favorite books of all time.

2022 Review:
I picked this up because I had a bad day and it is one of my comfort books. I will never stop loving Katniss, Peeta, and Haymitch and their journey through these games. This book (and the series) is such a great allegory for kids to read about standing up for yourself and rebelling against injustice. It's also amazing how Collins uses food in this book to really hit home that these are truly hunger games.
