This is one of my favorite books. I’ve re-read this a number of times, and it’s like reuniting with a friend each time.
I think what I enjoy most is that, despite being written over 200 years ago, the heart of the story holds up to the present day. Who doesn’t find an aloof stranger appealing, even if he does seem pompous at first? And who isn’t charmed by a smart, funny, and sometimes snarky woman?
